keel guard???

Im just wondering if anyone has a keel guard on their boat. Every lake i go to i end up having to beach my boat on rocky shores to get everyone in and out of the boat and the hull is starting to look bad. Do keel guards effect the wake in any way? i need to do something fast...

my buddy has one, doesnt do anything to the wake. an it works really well!
what kind of boat do you have?? and why dont you just throw out an anchora few feet out?

just an old ski nautique. its just more convienient to beach the boat. do you know what kind of keel guard he has? alot of the boats at the camp i used to drive for had keel guards but they were completly smooth. the only ones i can find have ridges through them...

nah, they have ridges on the outside running the whole length of the keel guard
