As long as the board isn't just completely flat, it should be fine.

Dave said this in the "rocker" thread from only a few days ago, with that said I have a question.

My pal and I were bored so we decided to make a skate. All is wonderful, except the rocker. It is over 4", approx a 4.25inch rocker. That is huge, we know that and we didn't intent for this to happen. Anyways, we are going to continue making the board once we get some time and ride it.

But how is it going to ride? Does anyone know? I know it is going to be slightly odd for sure, but any idea or comments on this? I have pics, ask and I'll post later.

We have other skates such as cassettes, so it's not a huge deal and we are willing to try this skate out. Worst case, it's a rail board or just something to mess around on.....who knows. Anyways, comments are welcome.

I predict you will have 0 rocker left after riding the board a few times. I may be wrong though, so let me know how it goes.

The only reason I said that is because my friend used to make his own skates and they would always get flat after riding them a few times. Maybe he just wan't doing it right?? I have never bothered with making a skate because I know I can't do a better job than the companies that do it every day.

Haha, we just might have 0 rocker left after a few rides, but oh well. Any prediction from you Dave on how it'll ride though with the 4" rocker?

Also, I think this might hold. We stand on it and bounce, and the shape still holds. It will hold as long as we use enough poly urathane so water won't get in to destroy the rocker. (We haven't poly urathaned it yet.) So we'll see, we hope it holds and have faith, but I'll let you know.

Is it a 4" continuous rocker or a 3 stage? Is it like kicktails or just one long bend?
