| hey guys, i just bought a 13ft whaler, with a 40 horse yamaha, it seems like it needs a tune up, it almost got my boy up today, hes about 190. im about the same. anyone else have a small boat with a bigger guy? let me know what u guys have. i got an AWESOME deal on it, so if i have to repower it, i may do that. the motor is in great shape, just may not be enough, but this thing has the most perfect little wake behind it, perfection. ur input is awesome thanks |

I rode behind a 15ft whaler today with a 40 on it and it took me a while to get up with two people on the boat, and I weigh 140. But once I was up it was fine. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/nizzate/ |

| Jeff has a 13 foot Bosten Whaler with a 90 horse on it, and we ride doubles behind it. My uncle and Jeff (A combined weight of somewhere between 300 and 400 pounds) get up not to difficultly. |

The key for getting up behind low horsepower is not to have your board sideways long. Turn it as soon as possible because once you get it turned it doesn't take as long to get going, but it's a lot of work on the body at this point. Try this out it'll probably help. _________________ wake____ing=love/life |

Mr. Top Hat,
From what i've been doing it's helped a lot. It's the only reason i got to skate last summer. What would you say is the "correct" way of doing a deepwater start from a low HP boat? _________________ wake____ing=love/life |
