Sometimes I think we all forget how lucky we really are to be out on the water just riding around in general on these little boards we call wakeskates.

Yesterday was my first day back behind the boat since November... Talk about a cure for depression!

Everybody gets frustrated at one time or another when they cant ride that perfect line they had in their head or just cant get that flow going.

But, the simple things like just riding around on top of the water are so great. I think we all forget at one time or another just how lucky we really are.

True that! I hate it when i see riders getting pissed they cant stomp that specific trick. Some times we get outa the loop and lose tricks, maybe cuz we have our mind on somthing else, or just cant get the flow that day. We have all had it happen. We should all be so happy we are even able to get out on that water and dance around because there are many people who would love to but arent able to to financilly, physcially or mentally. Thank God for every day Smile

The Kid, But you have to look at it in another way also. When things are frustrating then that means it is challenging, you can't always shy away from things that are challenging. But overcoming that challenge, putting your all into it and seeing the outcome is amazing. I do agree that getting mad is dumb. I try not to get mad but I'm very competitive and sometimes it just comes out.... Rolling Eyes

SleuCrew, It must have been the best feeling ever to ride again. I havn't been able to ride for 2 months and it has been killing me. Waking up and seeing the GLASS! omg glorious! I have a doctors ap. tuesday, hopefully he will say i can ride again.

I used to get so pissed off when i was around 12 or 13 and my dad drove the boat wrong which was normally my fault when wakeboarding. I was an jerk too, i'd smack the water after falling and stuff. Now, we don't have a boat anymore, which chances are, he probably got sick of my attitude, i don't blame him.

Ever since we got rid of the boat, and I go riding, it's just that much better because i don't get to ride as much as i used to, but i get to ride a good bit. I haven't slapped the water since i was 12 or 13, because i'm so happy to have the chance to wakeboard and wakeskate.

I NEVER get mad on a skate because it's what i do to unwind at the end of the day. That might change this year, but for now i just ride it around.

i get pissed and slap the water all the time, but its cuz i always want that new trick so bad. its more like desire than negativity for me.

as we grow older as does our baby......things become more complex.

simplicity is something worth striving for.......complexity= headaches. i try and simplify all the time............but as my dog whordes his toy hedgehog.......i too have trouble letting go.

being on the water...................it's all about letting go. lose yourself. i am not.

One thing i love about wakeskating, you can always be better, there is never an pinicle of perfection in your riding, there is always another trick you can learn or another trick you can perfect and become more consistant with. If one trick is treating you poorly one day, try another trick or a line of simpler tricks. Just like in skateboarding, thats why i fell inlove with both sports. Like the kid said Wakeskating=fun. When I'm riding anything behind a boat, i'm no longer thinking of drama at school, or the gas the boat is using, or even friendships that are falling through.

I can say this. Me and my friends who i ride with, are much closer in the summer when we're all chillin on the boat, than any other time. We'll push each other in the summer and it brings us together. Every crazy thing that happens in the summer happens at the lake.
