I'm building a winch with an 11hp engine. I want to go ahead and use #41 chain since I have the increased torque. After using the interweb to locate parts I have found that #41 chain is a cruel mistress. So as I hang my head low in shame i have two questions.

1. Anyone who is using #41 on their winch please let me know where a good place to get sprockets is. 50 tooth and 60 tooth seem to be all I can find.

2. What size sprocket do you use. I know the drive sprocket on the tav2 is 10 tooth. How many teeth are you running on your axle sprocket.

P.S. The second question is the most important.

TAV2 with 10T and sproket with 60T using #41 chain
all from BMI karts on the bay

but thats with 6.5horses, with you using an 11 it will need different gearing i think

whats the top RPM on 11 horses ?

60 tooth will work fine... you dont need the extra torque that a 72 tooth provides because you have such a beefy engine

I was cutting like 10 gauge aluminum into discs for the sidewalls but I toasted the band saw blade so I have to find a metal cutting blade for it. I would like to come see your winch and get some measurements and stuff. If you are working at your the store by kingston pike then you should just bring it with you one day and I can stop by.

it will pull fast but you can always throttle back... better to have too much speed than not enough
