I think I f'd up my MCL wakeskating and I was thinking that this might be kind of common. I did the ol' one foot off on foot on and it stretched out my inner knee, so I'm on the bench for a while.

I did my ACL several years ago wakeboarding and it really sucks to have injured the 'good knee'. Guess I don't currently have a good knee. Sucks but I'll take this over an ACL tear anyday.

I wrecked the MCL in both knees at once about 3 years ago, riding a kicker, there still messed up even after physio. There not aweful, but they like to remind me they are in bad shape now and then.

88skisupreme, take your time recovering, I did the same "foot off the back thing" you did and torn my mcl but tried to start riding again to soon and reinjured it. I hate knee injuries.

it depends on what you did to it. if its only sprained then give it like two weeks. but if its torn you'll probable be out for the days.

i actually just got outta a brace for an MCL tear. i was in a brace that immobilized my knee for a month and now i can walk and do normal activities. no wakeskating for another month though.

a question for anyone that has had knee injuries though-- Do you wear a brace at all when u ride now?

the "foot off the back" thing is gay I did that a few weeks ago on a w2w shuv gone wrong and dislocated my hip partially and then slammed it back in couldnt walk for 30 minutes and then painfully for a few days my muscles and such still give me problems occasionally. Hope you heal up fast bro.

ive messed up both of my MCL's. it takes a a brace and a lot of doing nothing to heal up. I tore my left MCL and meniscus three months ago (on a w2w bs180 gone wrong), and haven't rode since. I'm having knee surgery next week so hopefully I'll be back on the water in a couple months.

MCL tears suck, but they can heal up on their own in time without surgery. make sure you rehabilitate it at the gym or something similar... it will make it stronger, faster. take it easy if its injured.. if you re-injure it before you heal up it will get a lot worse than the first injury.

I learned my lesson reinjuring my old ACL injury years ago. I'm taking it easy for a while.

It sucks being out, makes you consider why you keep doing something that can mess you up so bad. But this is getting better fast, its a walk in the park compared to ACL injury.
