Would a 3.5 hp briggs and stratton work for a winch . im 150 pounds and my friend is little if we geared it right would it work. the motors free. _________________

if you use a 3.5 you will be very limited in where you go... the winch used in sfumato barely pulled and whenever someone put any force on it, the winch couldnt handle it... i remember horrell (i believe it was him) ollied down a gap using it and the winch cut out on the landing
a 3.5 will just give you headache... i strongly recommend getting a larger engine _________________ PAVT since '05/'06 |

dang i guess ill have to save up to get one . but just to mess around on do u think its worth making if i can get a free frame and ive got rope. _________________

| BLAIRWITCH, build a winch with the 3.5 hp engine. if it works then you're set. if not just upgrade to a larger engine. if you make your winch right it shouldn't be to hard to change out a sprocket and adjust the length of you chain. |

| If you build it and it doesnt work you still have just gained a lot of usefull knowledge that could be applied to another winch down the road. |
