|
|
alright atm im in a board rut, first up i'll give you some info with some of the boards ive ridden...
07 deuce pop: rides too deep in the water, doesnt release quick and predictably enough because of this, a little too small, without these problems it would be the perfect board
06 integrity tnt: waaaay too light, not big enough, though it feels sooo good to ride and has scary pop
06 lf impulse 43 wide: by far the best board ive ever ridden and is sadly near its death, rides high on the water, pops good, releases from the water perfectly, kicktails lock your feet in.
so basically i need a board 42" or over and nice and wide. A board that has kicktails that you can lock your feet into (even if they are mild). something that releases nicely from the water and rides fairly high. most importantly a board 9 pounds or over.
I considered the 42 legacy for a while but from what ive heard it rides quite low in the water. I thought the zariel might be pretty good also but after riding the 44" ive changed my mind, the top deck felt too continuous rather than having distinguished kicktails plus it never popped up to my feet properly when i ollied it.
any suggestions for a new board? and yes I have used the search button...allllot |

| Gator Pro model. Its a 42 with big, deep channels. It rides higher than a Deuce, but still has some of the same qualities of a compression molded skate because of the channels. |

I currently ride a New Bigfoot and it's sick. I also rode a 43" wide Impulse before this and the New slays it... I cracked a pretty fresh 43" wide on one good start up in/out. The new is like a tank compared to that thing. _________________ -Paul |

thefunky31, they hold up much better. ive seen my fair share of 06s. the 08s are tough. i was pleasantly surprised with the quality.
mcthrust, the concave is a bit different then the 06 shape but the quality is way better. sits higher on the water then most wood decks but its pretty light for a wood deck. also very wide tails. |
