So I am looking to step it up a little at KC Watersports. I want to get either nugs or devotid skate bumps. I don't know what else is even out there. I just watched a video of the skate bumps in action on the New site, and they looked fun as hell. Who's ridden what, and what do you advise?

http://www.wakeskating.com/board_guide/board_description.php?product_id=213

you can view the oak udders in any 2008 gear guide listing. the above is a link to ben's board (since it was first), and you can scroll down and check out the udders.

the iron is something that ben makes and sells through aacadia.com. You can check them out there. They're a little heavier, a little beefier...but pretty much the best way you can truly "lock" into a crooked grind, or any variation there of (as well as do your mannual variations, noseslides, tail slides, et al). It's pretty cool, for sure...

electricsnow, the iron LOOKS heavy. any idea on the weight?

the nugs are looking sick.

DAM, ping pong balls FTW! too bad they dont last that long. i might have to try some golf balls, but that requires me acquiring them from the golf course...

you fill them with epoxy. its an idea that worked for a while before companies started making nugs utters or the iron. i love the fact that we have evolved from the ping pong ball but dont hate on the past. it got us were we are today. i still know people that rock the ping pong balls.

electricsnow, for some strange reason i've never been able to get onto aacadia.com til tonite. Thanks for reminding me to check the site, yet again.

Time to get a new comp i say Cool

golf, ping pong (filled with epoxy), udders (oak) or nugs (new).. they all work good IMO

DAM, i did fill them but they wore out quickly. i dont think the epoxy completely reacted, and it probably didnt help that i was using them the next day...

electricsnow, How much do the irons weigh? they look like they would add significant weight to the board and drag... they do look dope though. Also, they look like they could really snag and kill you... are they hard on rails?
