I have an old LF wakeskate that has seen a better day. I want to take the foam off and sand the paint off the bottom. Then stain it and grip the top. What should I use to seal the stain with? Any advice is appreciated. |

i use this stuff called sanding sealer, take about 15 minutes to dry and then you give it a light sand and add more, and do your painting in between coats, the cool thing about it is if you put enough coats on, it will give a smoother surface, because with sanding there may be some flaws, or some holes in the board, this stuff eventually fills them in, its really nice stuff. |

I was going to do this to an old LF. It's gots some chunks on the bottom and on the rails, what's a good wood filler to use? Do I need to get some marine grade stuff? |

TAD, I used some caulk. some of the marine stuff. it's like $2-3 at lowes and I had a puddie scraper and smoothed it to flow with the board. It sands really easy to so if you put a little to much |
