Im sittin here thinkin and this thought comes across my head as the DVS/AMBUSH shoe add comes on. Do you really need to get a wakeskate specific shoe? How important is it really? Is it going to be a huge noticable difference? I use DC Alias skate shoes, and they do get a lil heavy, but is it way better with a specific shoe? Or is it close enough to wear you wont notice? Im just wondering cuz Im contemplating about the AMBUSH/BUYWAKE.COM shoes.

IMO I dont think it matters. You can get the same thing out of regular skate shoes. I have, I can even compare to some 313 shoes I had, the only reason I had them was because I won them off of this site. As good of shoes as there were, you can still get the same thing out of regular shoes. It just depends if you want to spend the money or not.

i skate in emericas right now, i drilled 3 holes in the sole to let a little drainage threw, i won some byerlys at in contsest last year and they've been sitting in my room all summer, it really doesnt matter that much, legs are strong enough where you wont notice a diffrance sucking them up.

I think I like my wakeskate shoes for walking around better than wakeskating in since the grip does not seem to be as good as my globes I used to skate in.

I really don't get why everybody is so anti wakeskate shoes.Sure old skate shoes work but one day you're going to have to buy shoes anyway.Wouldn't you rather buy a shoe made for water that drains?
The first year I wakeskated I used an old pair of skate shoes, sure they worked. The next year those shoes were beat anyways so I bought a pair of epic's.I've had those shoes 2yrs now[normally shoes only last me 6 months to a year].I only use the shoes for wakeskating and I've had to reglue the soles but there still in great shape I figure 1-2 more seasons on them.I don't find that expensive when I only paid $80CAD for them.I can't find any decent skate shoes cheaper than that. And they work so much better, way lighter,no club foot and they dry fast so they don't even stink Wink not too much anyways.

i think i found liek the perfect wakeskate shoes, my mom bought them for me like a year or so ago for 20 bucks and they were too small so she said she would like give them to the neighbor and she never did but anyways so i couldnt find my byerlys so im like uhh... i guess i will just wear these so i did and they were really comfortable in the water, light, gripped to the board amazingly, and you could kick so well with them on and stuf, i dont think they make this shoe anymore but lemme see if i can find a picture.. yea i cant find one online so maybe i will take a picture of them later. maybe it is just my personal preference in what i am looking for, but i really like these alot. they are vans... and like blue and brown well brown with a blue stripe i think they are the rowleys. yea. maybe.
