I have a honda 8 hp motor that I am gonna be using to power my winch. The only real hang up for me is gearing. I will most likely use a 10t CC with 40 chain, so what size sprocket and spool would be best? Will I be able to do deep water starts with this setup for 170-190 lb riders?

Thanks in advance.

anywhere from 6 to 8 inch inner diameter should work fine... i run 12 60 8 on one of my winches and 12 68 7 on the other... (drive sprocket, driven sprocket, inner spool diameter)
