the small sprocket is to make up for the small 9 tooth driver. it equals out to the same gearing as the classic 44-16. bikes in this day and age are all about light weight. the lighter the better. small seats slammed to the frame and big bars.

speaking of bmx.. me and nick d. are going ride at vans tonight for bike night if anyone from the site wants to come meet us out there

actually, i think the term "whip" is actually "wip." that is, "work-in-progess." that thing is too nice to be a wip. Rolling Eyes
