Hey, giys, I'm new here, don't know much. Anyways I'm getting into wakeskating. THat being said, I need a skate. I'm, looking to pick one up this weekend at the T.O boat show cause the prices then are ridiculously low. I thinking of getting a LF Armada. What do you guys think? Im drawn to composite because I don't want to buy a new board for like 5 years at least. Or will wood be fine? Any other suggestions. Coming from skateboarding, I need a board with tons of pop, (if skating like wakeskating at all)

Thanks for any responses in advance!! Very Happy

wood has a different feeling, i personally like it better. a composite will last longer

the armada is kinda like.....well look at some other stuff first.

Maybe an Oak, or a sattelyte are a few good wood decks. Integrity seems to have the sickest composite. Good luck

Kichu182, yo, head to the KLWC booth, they are a small shop so not very high prices. they should have some skates, they carry a lot of gator stuff, so they might have the doyle composite. you will find a rip roarin good weekend, however. i might go up mid next week to hit the pool.

also, buckeye/source for sports will be set up there, if your keen on the armada you may find it there, if not they should have other LF skates or some hyperlites if thats what your lookin for, but buckeye is pricey sometimes, great guys tho, they are usually down for bargaining Wink

the armada i picked up at surf expo felt like a tank, like it was filled with lead weights, even heavier than the SST. i dont know if thats what the 08 is going to be like, but if it is , wear some shinguards, no joke

Kichu182, use the search button to look for the boards you're interested in and you'll find dozens of threads with different opinions on em.

The Captain, where is your visualisation when one really needs it???

Man have a look for some Sattelytes or L13's there. Both companies man good wood wakeskates with PBT base that should last you a couple seasons if you take care of them. I'm going home today to hopefully do some winching and I'll be at the boat show this weekend, should be interesting...

Kichu182, maybe try the hayperlite catylist 2.0 or a legacy or a vinyl. Ive never riden them but they probably wont have integs at this boat show. But if you want to wait id suggest trying get ur hands on an integrity. They are very substancial. Armada has no pop and the channels are lame.

sattelytes are (in my opinion) the toughest wood deck there is. Integritys will last forever, unless burned Sad
