dude. I went to santa cruz tonight after work.. it was too crazy to go out. I only saw one surfer in the water. One guy died south of here, a guy was revived 5 miles south of santa cruz and 4 people were rescued from the water in a spot that i surf sometimes. Its so nuts out here. I'm in disbelief after what I saw.

this is from another site:

Quote:
Middle pic looking towards outside, I could not photo complete outside as it was foggy and hard to see. There were about 4 guys WAY out there. I saw one guy try to paddle into one and got sucked over the falls. The wave was literally 6-8X bigger than this guy. I've lived up here about 10 years and def the biggest I've ever seen it. LOT of water moving around out there.

hes right, the current was nothing short of a rushing river. theres no way you could paddle through it, youd have to find a way to go around it. tomorrow is going to be the day though, a lot cleaner, and less chaotic for sure.

so sad. It's crazy when even the most experienced watermen can be overcome by the ocean.

LiquidForce71, sick dude! was it really crowded there? some of the shots ive seen of socal spots are ridiculously packed. btw, have you spoke with NotSoBueno or reed watson? you should meet up and ride with those guys. reed is in SD and NotSo is in palm springs.

these are from socal today, someone posted them on the surfer mag forum

Laughing

It was pretty packed where i was in sc, but I got there after the sun went down so people were leaving pretty quick as i went out. I think i was one of the last people out.. it was so dark haha.

Chris Barcellos, most of the spots were soooo packed. But the pick I got there was a lot of people out but i got so manny really long rides. Today too should be not so gigantic so it might be not so scary.
