kickflip help please

ok then, i suck at kickflips. I can 3-shuv consistantly, and do a bunch of re-entry stuff, but the kickflip eludes me. Everytime i try to flick it, the board kinda does a forward flip and lands way behind me. Any tips?

i got kickflips down on the tramp. De Oro, ill try to ollie more, but the board still gets no rotation. Any other tips?

WAKEMan1, don't worry i am in the same boat you are. i can 3 shuv and do reentry shizzle but can kickflip for my life.

WAKEMan1, ok ill start from the beginning, only landed two I/O, i may tell you something wrong but i land on the board everytime but have yet to keep going in the flats.

You should have your back foot about one inch from the back and your front foot a little further than the middle of the board and have your foot hanging off the side slightly, but not so much you cant get a good ollie. Make sure u are leaning over your toes when u kick it as well. if your weight is not over the board when u kick it, it definatly wont be when u land.then pop you ollie and wait a little longer than you think to make sure you get the maximum pop. bring the nose up and make sure you take your foot off the board before you kick it. This is what really helped me and my friend. if you take your foot off u can kick it in the exact right place so you dont front flip the board like you said. Wait for it to come around and then catch it in the air. make sure your feet are spread so you have balance on the landing.

Like i said i can land on them and almost keep going but i sometimes lose balance because my feet arnt spread at ALL.

WAKEMan1, i learned how to flick them by watching nicks in v5 in slow motion multiple times haha, that used to happen to me, try waiting longer to flick and popping it higher, going fast helps, i havent landed one yet but i can flick them

any tips on landings, when i land my feet are close together and on the back, i'm over the board but unbalanced?

kick alot later then you think, that was my problem also. also try landing with your back foot first, i still have problems with that, but when i can catch it with my back foot first i almost always ride away.

guys thanks 4 the help. i was closer today than i have ever been. got the board all the way around, and got my feet on it a couple a times. im going out again tomorrow so hopefully ill get it Smash
