this is a e-mail that ben caruso sent to mikey t. last week and the whole idea and story is just pretty crazy
Mikey-
Hows it going bro? Down here in the Caribbean sailing and all is well thanks to you. Our rudder broke about 100 mile from a port where we could fix it, so we bolted my team machine to the back of the boat and steered it to safety through 12 foot swells and gale force winds. It was the ultimo in gnarly. I think we set the world record for riding an oak for 36 hours straight! I got some video footage and whatnot- I'll have to get with you in NC after christmas (if the boat can make it home by then). I'll try and attach a picture or something. Anyways I've got to get to work on making an all new rudder so I'll catch you later. Thanks for making such a solid skate- it damn near saved our lives, we'd probably still be floating towards cuba if it wasn't for Oak. Chyuh! Peace mikey

Haha, that's awesome Josh. We drifted into some lillies and we sailed through them with a wakeskate rudder and a hammock with the stern lite mast as a sail. Wakeskates are really multi-purpose tools............great cutting boards.
but 12' seas and gale force winds.........  u should be on I shouldn't be alive............oak wakeskates saved our a$$.
