Standerd 1.3

I managed to get an copy from the release party, and I think this issue is the best yet. I was bit worried that the first issue was going to set the standard (no pun indended) with each issue not being as good. I was wrong.

If you don't have a subscription -- GET IT!! soo worth it!

I feel like the standerd gets better with every issue. I recently received my subscription issue (which was mad fast, yo). But alas, the contents within were spoiled, since I attended the celebration for issue 1.3. I took my free copy from the issue table, got myself a red bull and perused it.

Yes, the nelson profile was glorious. He's a classic and never gets old. I do, however, feel weird that he's working on those wake ski things. But it's no matter, because greg will always be a classic in my book.

and of course, there are some great pics, too. One that I really liked was the aaron reed shot by bo burton. I just think that shot turned out really nice, and I guess it surprised me.

If you love the water and those that use it (in many forms), flock to the standerd. I just feel like this publication is different than the others...just from my pov, it really is for those that LOVE wakeboarding, wakeskating and the lifestyle. And that's not to say anything against, alliance and wbm, becuase it's different strokes for different folks (and I know those guys love the water, too). But with the standerd, you just appreciate different things in a different way.

Such a good mag....

This is the one mag that you can show to your parents or grandparents which will help them "get" why you do all those stupid stunts on your wake sticks.

Less flashy ads and baggy pants and more giant photos that are easy and nice to look at....

I mean that in the best possible way.

Is the Standerd the new best magazine to get in? I think its my favorite but would people rather be in Alliance, Wakeboard, or SBC?
