so i tried to do a shuv wake jump and the wind just took my board into my legs, any pointers?

yeah i thouught heavier board but don't hav the money b/c i just bought my current board.

what board are u riding. the only other thing i can say is stay over it. dont kick it ahead of u or anything and try to keep it right under ur feet so u can catch it quicker

one word. VINYL. it really helps to have a heavier board. the scape is really light so your probably gonna have to grab it. but i recomend the hyperlite 108 vinyl. its so choice. Cool

You don't need a heavier skate, just learn a few more of the fundamentals of board control.

It's not the wind, it's your limited understanding of board physics. W2W shuv is a pretty tough trick that takes a lot of board control.

Just keep at it, you don't need a heavier skate. Maybe a better one, but it doesn't need to be heavier.

ok i got ya but um i hav the fundamentals of shuvs so that's not the problem b/c i can do it easily in the flats and on the wake and from the middle of the 2 wakes to the outside, but more than that i skim nearly once every two days and it's almost exactly the same

Hyperlite scapes are crap...might as well get a piece of plywood. Get a heavier one!

well if you can't afford a new board, you might be able to afford a decent kind of glue, so get some rocks and glue em to your board, adds for gnar factor too. Cool

VinceW, that's what i did to my scape. two rocks on each end of the board, not only does it add weight but you can lock in on noseslides and do manuals Smash
