Recently I was talking with friends who hardly know anything about the sport wakeskating and wakeboarding, and I asked them what one they liked better. Their response was that their bot hthe same, I came bac kto say that they aare two competly different things. If you think about sure they are simialir in looks but then again its the same as ping pong and lawn bowling , both are done on green surfaces with white balls, but they're two sports that have little similarites besides looks. So I figure its the same for wakeskating and boarding, sure they come from the smae place but tech wise they pretty different.

What do you guys think?

I'm more inclined to say that they're pretty similar. They're both boardsports on the water pulled by a boat (usually), and generally speaking people in both have the same mentality--to have fun. And of course, the crossover is really high. If you have the basics of wakeskating it will make you a much better wakeboarder, and having the basic balance of wakeboarding down makes wakeskating way easier to learn. I don't think ping pong and lawn bowling have that going for them, although I wouldn't really know because I've never lawn bowled.

maybe a better comparo would be beer pong vs ping pong? and for comparison's sake you would be holding a beer drinking while playing ping pong since beer pong obviously involves drinking.

lol , hahaha, yeah another way u can play that is u try and hit the other persons beer if you do they have to chug it.
But yeha they are similar but I think that tech wise there different, for example lip tricks vs, raileys, or shuvits vs. inverts, , just my opinion but i think wakeboarding is a hell of alot more demanding on your body wakeskating is really more mental and foot work.
