i just picked up an old cassette concave deck for dirt cheap today but there is some delam on the bottom ply not real bad though. Besides that the board is in perfect condition. I was just wondering if anyone reccomends a certain type of epoxy and i wanted to reseal the board. I know i can get epoxy and marine based sealant easily but was wondering what was the good stuff to use.

Thanks man. I checked on some sealant and its like $50 for a gallon. I know of a place where i can get some legit sealant, epoxy, spray paint, laquer thinner, etc. for free so im gonna go that route (dont worry im not stealing, its a reuse center for waste drop off)
not sure the bottom is pretty much done in. But i know for sure its one of the concave decks thats a 40". Not the 4-track because this one is symetical

goride, ive tried different paints before. if you get the mixed kind at home depot, make sure you buy oil based, but what i found is that the paint sort of "peels" off. in my experience spray paint holds up a lot better, especially rustoleom. the good cans though, they're white and just have the color for the cap. make sure you prep the wood with sandpaper and stuff real well if you want it to last.

i have never primed a wakeskate. i just hit it with some medium/fine sandpaper, maybe 150-200 grit. then i usually take a paper towel and rubbing alcohol and wipe the dust off. tape the grip (and the underside if you dont overspray) with masking tape. if you take your time you can get the tape to follow the curve of the grip. after that, spray 1-2 coats until you get a nice gloss. thats what ive done and it has worked real well for me.

BUT im sure priming the skate wouldnt hurt.
