winching in north carolina?

does anyone winch in north cackalack? the more pix i see from you guys in fla., the more i'm itching to try it and find new spots. i can't really think of too many i've seen in eastern nc, but maybe that was because i just wasn't looking.

best thing is just to move to florida... there are so many people with winches down here were bumping into each other at different spots lol

yo yo yo.... Read the thread about the Chatam County skate jam.

Also, read my article from http://www.alliancewake.com/wakeskate/2/4/ starting on page 35.

I have 4 killer winch spots in the Triangle area, including the Duke which is retarded huge. I spent 4 months driving all over NC looking for winch spots for that article, and I think I've found a very good range of spots from easy chill to massive death!!!

The key is waiting until the Water levels are high. Right now, things kind of suck because the water levels are so low. If you are serious, then we can plan a weekend and session all 4 spots. Let me know. I also know that Cary.K has a good spot in Wilson.

johnyutah, thanks man. good to hear that. my roommate says he knows of one in laurinburg.

the water-level sucks right now. we go out in the Tar River, but it's been so low we are kind of sketched about it now. as it's dropped, we've seen more and more trees beginning to stick out in the places we ride.

i'm about to start a job next couple weeks so i have no idea what kind of schedule i'll have, but would be very interested into getting something going this fall...maybe after a hurricane dumps a little.

For those of you familiar with Fayetteville, there is a sick spot as you drive through the Anderson Creek Golf Community. It's basically a pond with two 4-8 foot drop waterfalls. After the first drop you have about 30-40 feet then the next fall. Looks like it would be really sweet. Problem is getting in there to try it with all the houses around.
