On varial flips when i was learning them i would just go up i/o and put my feet like i would for a kicky do like a small bs shifty and then just kick the board instead of trying to do a big shuv.
on fs flips... um learn um on a tramp. but carve in act like your going to just do a big slow 180 and when the board gets about 60 to 70 degrees fronts side then just kick down and try and get over your toes....
probly not the best advice, but it works for me lol.... lol |

there's a thread on fs flips on here. this is what i wrote. i agree with jesse.

i put my front foot a tad bit further than midway up on the board.. and let the heel hang off the edge a couple of inches. not as much as on regular kickflips though. try out different stances to see what suits you best.
my best advice is: tell yourself that youre gonna do a frontside ollie. edge out. flatten off, pop the tail. pull the handle towards your back hip. when youve rotaded 90 degrees, just flick the board straight down with your toes. watch the board under you. keep the handle close to your body and make sure you land edging away on your toes.

with the v-flip i like to shuvit like 90 and kinda on an angle so the bottom of the board is sorta facing the boat, then flick it and spot your landing and stay on your heel side edge when you land. with the fs flip, raven told me to do it like riding a bike, and thats the best advice ive ever heard on a trick. now go get em!!!!! _________________ "POP IT, FLICK IT, CATCH IT, STICK IT" |
