1. Yamaha gp1200r

2. 155 stock. just like bjr, not made for pulling.

3. not bad, but since it is a powervalve motor it makes it really difficult to hold a constant speed.

4. uses plenty of gas.

its not made to pull people around so i wouldnt reccommend it. Wink

10-20$ for all day?? damn, thats good. But a 2006, thats gotta be expensive. I'm currently still in the market for a pwc and have around $2k to spend.

Yamaha FX140 (basically the same as the VX110 but with more hp)
140 hp
Easy to pull out of the water.
Fairly easy to keep consistant speed. (can't get much better than 1-3mph variance)
All day on $20, but that's every bit of that $20

Go look around at the rental places, they have to update the skis every year.
I picked mine up for a kool $3200 and a few wakeskating lessons to the guys that ran the rental company... Twisted Evil

I got a 95 Polaris SL 750, it's a older ski, and got 80 HP, pulled up my girl friend and her brother on the wake skates i haven't tried yet cause my ankle was jacked and haven't tried it out yet, it's a older 2 stroke so the speed is a bit hard to keep steady but you do get used to it after a while. I can keep it around 2-3mph diff, cause it's the 2 stroke it was so good power and accel to get people up but can burn a descent amount of gas, i guess it would be around $25 for a full day. I mount the rope to a hole in the base of it, but i jsut finished welding a tow post similar to those of the wake edition seadoo's so that should help keep the rop out of the water!!

95 Seadoo SP (base of all base models) 65 HP 2 stroke burns almost no gas, pulls my big arse out the water just fine.....

Just remember though any 4 stroke is probably gonna have better low end than a 2 stroke (top end) hence why the VX110 or FX140 would be my choice...

Has nothing to do with brand, just value... the VX110 is quite possibly the best ski for your money hands down....

ya i have a vx110 deluxe and it has been a gem so far. Its only a couple 100 more than the sport and it comes with reverse, security system and mirrors. I dont think the sport has all those options. It pulls doubles with ease and its great on gas.
