Hey dudes, I needed some help picking out some wakeskate shoes so I figured this would be the place to ask. I tried on some reef ones at our local store but they were really expensive. I was checkin out some kampus shoes online for $25!!! and was wonderin if anyone has tried them before. I'm lookin for a shoe that I can wear around town and skateboard in along with being able to take wakeskatin. Are they comfy at all? Do they get hot? Sure you guys wanted to know this but my feet get HOT and really sweaty, hahaha so I was thinkin that maby those holes in the shoes for water drainage would help me with that personal issue, lol. So ya, let me know. Oh, and I couldn't find anyother wakeskate shoe other than the reef's and the kampus. Why aren't there more wakeskate shoe company's out? I think that is a load. Companys like globe or etnies or something like that should start making them.

I like h20, If I were you I'd just get a separate pair of shoes for wakeskating and a separate pair for skating. When you get a pair of shoes wet repeatedly, they will begin to stink (especially if you use a slow means of drying them, as opposed to putting them in front of a fan). And like with the wakeskate shoes I use (mesh triumphs by DVS) they really aren't that durable when it comes to using them for skateboarding (but all of the materials dry really fast). I just went wakeskating in my kostons this past week and they worked well on the water, but they did not dry fast at all, even in front of a fan.

On the flip side, there are shoes by UGP that you could use for anything (because while they're designed for wakeskating, they're also super durable), but they're more on the expensive side (which I'm guessing you're not into--though you should check them out because they're worth the $$). However, they have a fair bit of padding built into the shoe, which makes them fit really well, but your foot could also get pretty warm in them.

But yeah, going beyond the kampus shoes, DVS has a few of their shoes available in a mesh version. The most popular DVS wakeskate shoe for this year seemed to be the triumph. But they also have the kenyan from buywake, which is actually on sale right now, and you could probably find some dresdens, drakes, milans, freemonts, novas and volaris in mesh on ebay or from other retailers. Reef has the byerlys (an older model) and the byerly IIs, adio had something people liked to use for wakeskating called the "quest", and then of course UGP has some new shoes for this season. And like some others have said, a popular brand that isn't wakeskate specific is nike 6.0.
