man is that an '03 Horrell? great boards. i would suggest letting it sit for a week or two, that has been the only way that i've been able to get a water logged board to lighten up. basically you need the wood to dry out as much as possible, so the longer it sits the lighter it should become.
after you let it sit, make sure you re-paint or re-seal the board once it's at the weight you want. other wise, it's likely to become water logged again. _________________ .:Wake UP Films:.

theres some method they use to save books and paper that have gotten wet, it dries them up so they are good as new, i think its also a taxidermy method, i cant remeberwhat it was tho, but that would work, its like vacum seal, orfreeze dry crazy stuff _________________ I run show where ever I go. |

heres a little snippet "Freezing, followed by vacuum freeze drying has been shown to be one of the most effective methods for removing water from large numbers of books and other paper records,"
http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/bytopic/disasters/primer/waters.html
i know thats for books, but it all comes from trees ya know?
heres some more
"Freeze-drying :
The freeze-drying technique dries a material by sublimation, i.e. a natural process that transforms frozen water directly into steam without passing through the liquid phase. It is strongly recommended to carry out impregnation with a cryoprotective product prior to sublimation in order to protect the wood against the effects of swelling when the liquid water is transformed into ice.
Freeze-drying is divided into two phases. Firstly, the objects are frozen down to -30°C. Secondly, they are dried by sublimating the water when a primary vacuum (1-5 mbar) is created in the chamber. The water vapour produced during the drying phase is captured by cold traps chilled to -50 / -60°C. The temperature rise during drying is measured by thermocouples introduced into the core of the wood, so that the end of the freeze-drying process can be carefully monitored."

so if youve got access to a freeze dryer but yeah thats alll i got _________________ I run show where ever I go. |

As dumb as it sound you want to take your board into a sauna. It's worked with all my boards and really gets the water out.
You might be able to replicate it though by building a light bulb oven and heating that up to about 90°C. Then basically just bake your board. Sometimes even manages to unwarp boards.... |
