As of lately I've been riding a Byerly legacy 42 and it's been working out really well for me. It can take a hit which is good because my ill-funded rail attempts are not very board-friendly. Also, something about the heaviness of this board makes my shuv based tricks tons more consistent...I guess I just don't have that much board control haha.

So yesterday I decided to ride my finless TNT 39 for the first time in two months after riding a legacy 42 with fins....Holy Crap! I got up, and cut out to do an i/o and ended up doing a nipple high frontside shifty(the shify was accidental it's just so light!). I rode it all day, learned all my new tricks over again on this board and had a blast. Something about the lightness of it with no fins is pretty stinking amazing. I was much more inconsistent with this board on shuvesque tricks but it was still the most fun I've had riding in a while.

In the end this is a long pointless story. I even still plan on riding my legacy. Don't feel you've wasted your time though, as it does have a moral: Don't let your wakeskating become monotonous. A little variance can completely reaffirm your love for all that is wakeskating.

Jama, I did the same thing, went from a TNT 39 to a 03' Cassette 42 flat, then went back to the TNT. I love it.

I'm going to take my old cassette flat out for a finless set this weekend. First time on that board in a few seasons for sure.

always a good story bro..switching up boards is always a good thing..its crazy when you see the difference between going from fins to no fins..definitely helps with consistency.

I just got a devotid movement and am looking forward to trying it out this weekend. I normally ride a Byerly 05 and looking forward to the change. I have only ridden once this summer due to shoulder surgery and am limited now to only wakeskating. Good story
