Hey all, not sure if this is where to introduce myself so move it if ya need to. I'm Tim I got to wakeskate and wakesurf behind a killer mastercraft x45 a week ago and got hooked.
My parents have a 1964' Thompson all wood boat, its got a 120hp I/O and does the trick, not a 100k boat but beggars cant be choosers. I picked up an Obrien deck for $50 on clearance and we are good to go, welfare wakeskating!
Here is a vid of my 1st time up on the boat, its prob my 5th time on a wakeskate. I dont wakeboard, but have snowboarded for a long time.
Here is the vid, tried to grind the top of the wake and went down. Good times. Season is nearly over but we'll get some time in before its over.

FO sho, we got this boat right when we moved to the US in the early 90's this old guy used to take it out on the saginaw bay fishing, he had owned it since new. He practically gave it to my dad, all he wanted was a family to enjoy it. Everyone else wanted it for the outdrive. We put a mahoganny layer on the deck, it used to be a nasty white vinyl. Since then the boat has looked much better.
Moms even made the new seats.. |
