Concavity produces greater pop more often than not.

Jesse is right when he writes that the rocker is mainly responsible for the pop.

Its rocker that produces pop. scar_11, its about the same. But, with the added wood for concave comes extra weight.

the concave will allow you to shuv that tail down a little deeper in the water giving it more energy on the release to give you that extra umph in your pop. Also i think it helps you give a little bit more control over your board. Then again its personal preference

concave also gives you more leverage when edging the board.

I feel like concave gives you more control, to help your pop.............a flat deck however, seems like it would have more pop due to the thinner skate and a more resilient flex.
