| Interesting argument. It's really similar to something I learned this year called "Pascal's Wager". |

isn't it weird though, how in the 70s they were all worried about a new ice age?

I think that climate change is happening, it's natural solar activity. I don't think that human's are the major cause.
If you haven't, watch "The Great Global Warming Swindle" on youtube or whatever. It's a really good documentary about the argument against Global Warming. |

global warming is all bullSh*t! it's an excuse the government is making to help with the greenhouse gasses..
no doubt we're doing something to our surroundings.. but not enough to completly change our global temperature..
every couple hundred years theres mini ice ages and periods where the temperature increases or decreases.. nuthing to do with human activity and carbon dioxide releases.. a few hundred years ago during the mideval error there was a cool down of just a few degrees where it was just enough to increase the sizes of our polar ice caps.. which is the opposite of what's happening now..
one other thing they forget to tell you about in science class was that the southern polar ice cap is melting.. but the northern polar ice cap is actually increasing in size.. i think it's pathetic how they are showing al gores video in schools and are expecting us to believe the crap.. now every person in my school is believing global warming.. none of it is true.. now al gores movie has ccreated this mass histeria in our country when global warming is still a theory.. when less then half of the scientists working on global warming believe in this theory..
Personally i think global warming is a government conspiracy.. i believe they're trying to make us believe this crap because they want to decrease our dependency on fouren oil and fossil fuels... i could keep going for hours on how much i deslike this theory.. but i'm going to stop.. i seriously hope you understand what i'm saying and take it all into consideration.. talking about this stuff really pisses me off and how our country is influenced so much when they tell people so little.. get all of your facts straight.. listen to both sides of the story.. not just of your teachers where everything they say must be right.. learn.. don't believe everything you hear _________________ Wake it up.. |

what if it is real? Then what? Will the greedy politicians, oil companies, car companies, stop being greedy, making millions of dollars a day and bring back the electric car? Its people like you that chickity china the chinese chicken everything up. Its not real blah, then bam, its real, and your fizzle. There are so many small things that you can do that help against global warming that you can do, that also improve everything else, like recycling. I recycled 2 bags of aluminum, got 6$, went and bought a slurpee and some candy, all by collecting the cans we were normally throwing away. And on top of that, I helped save some energy, released carbon into the air, and made some money. Wouldn't you like to make free money? Your parents buy your soda anyways.

the effect of global warming is so minute it has nuthing to do with the rising temperature of the earth.. possibly it is real.. the fact is it's still a theory and most scietists still don't believe in the theory.. all of this was brought on by algore and publicity.. not even good publicity.. they focus on the stuff they want you to hear.. not on the real facts.. all views you see and hear are going to be skewed.. do a search on google.. global warming.. then read what all the sites say.. everysingle one on the first few pages will read the same exact thing.. "the use of fossil fuels is releasing carbon dioxide, also known as a greenhouse gas into our atmosphere.. this release of greenhouse gasses into our environment is raising our global temperature" you know why the first few pages of resolts say this.. it's because the internet is government regulated wether you believe it or not.. they put the websites they support and like the most first.. after the first few pages they start to put the stuff they don't want you to see.. after those pages.. start reading.. stuff will be alot more spread out, but that's the stuff that's un skewed learn before you speek _________________ Wake it up.. |

WOW. How old are pattielip? So global warming is all a hoax to get us to use less oil? how is that a bad thing? quite the opposite of whats really happening, but interesting theory none the less.
The government controls the internet huh? thats a new one does the government regulate foreign websites also? if so, how?
The arctic ice cap is increasing? never heard that one before either. Better let the polar bears know, before they die off from lack of habitat.
Is your daddy teaching you these "truths"?
Oh yeah, this global warming thing has been around longer then Al gore's book. I wasn't sure if you were aware of that but I guess with all the hysteria going on it must be hard to get past that.

In australia, weird things are happening. we've just come out of 10 years of INTENSE drought. liek really bad. we have water restrictions.
its almost been a good thing. we've learnt to conserve water and not take it for granted.
then, around christmas, we had some of the worst fires we've ever had.
over the last few weeks, there has been freak storms where like towns are getting double the average rainfall for australia in a DAY.
i watched the video. i dont believe in global warming. but i do believe our emissions are doin much more bad than good. its a lesson either way and its going to help us in the long run.
its not going to hurt everyone by walking or riding to work. take public transport etc instead of sitting in your cars. kids sit behind computers these days for 24 hours a day. thats the scariest thing.
this whole global warming phase has done the world of good, even if it isnt true. it gets us back to our roots, nature. instead of trying to progress our technology further and further without a good thought process.
just my 2 cents |

i've watched the movie, and several others like it including algore's i still choose not to believe it.. i chose to do my research, and not believe all of the crap they're cramming into our heads at school.. i'm 17, and i'm oldenough and mature enough to make my own decisions and come to my own conclusions.. i've done my research.. but it seems like you haven't basing all of your conclusions on this single video.. find videos that don't support globalwarming and watch them they'll tell you stuff they "forget" to mention in the videos that support it.. i wonder why that is.. just like algore's movie.. he "forgot" to mention many important facts that would contradict his views.. why? to get people on his side.. the only problem is now this is all skewed and messed up because people don't know all of the facts and they're baseing their opinions on little more then propeganda and publicity.. once again.. i'm not saying global warming is there.. i'm saying it's so minute that it doesn't effect our global temperature.. where i live.. on the chesapeake bay.. two years ago.. one of the mildest winters we ever had, that summer cool and rainy.. this year... good winter.. cold with a decent amount of snow.. this summer's turning out to be rediculously hot with not much rain..
the fact is we only have carbon dioxide records up to the early to mid 1900's.. before that we don't know.. now global temperatures we have redords for hundres and hundres of years with conclusive evidense of global temperature change every 500 to 1000 years apart of just a few degrees.. in that time the global temperature will rise and fall a few degrees..
Ill of this could be contributed to by the moon.. it may not be.. the moon's gravity is what makes the tides in the ocean.. well you know what controls alot of our global temperature? it's called the ocean.. you know that mass amounnt of water that covers much of the earth.. that blue and green liquids current disperses heat around the earth.. especially in the atlantic ocean..
it starts in the gulf of mexico.. goes up the east coast which would be why the water at ocean city maryland and all the other beaches is swimmable and have temperatures in the 70's and 80's during the summer.. as it goes up the east coast it flares out into the middle of the atlantic and goes over to europe and africa... then it comes back down and slowly goes back to the gulf and starts the cycle back over again... i'm not saying that's the cause.. you just have to look at it all... that's simple highschool science right there but you know what if the moon can control the earth's oceans like that.. and the ocear's currents like that who knows what it is.. there was a special on the earths global temperature trends on the history channell.. it was finally something on tv i saw that didn't support global warming.. it showed how over the last 10,000 years there where 4 mini iceages where the global temperature increases only a few degrees that 3 or 4 degrees was enough to double or even triple the sizes of the polar ice caps... after the cooldown what can happed but for the earth to warm back up.. well that's what over half of the scientists are saying now.. our earth is simply warming up from the last mini iceage.. _________________ Wake it up.. |
