How soft is the rubberized grip tape?? I ride a cassette with normal grip tape and i dont like it. It tears my figers up when I carry it, and when I fall it skins my legs up really bad. I was wanting to get a foam top wakeskate, but if the rubberized grip on the kampus is pretty soft I would rather go with that.

BTW, my other concern with griptape is the fact that it tears up the inside of the boat when it rubs against a seat or something.

FORCENLIQUID75 - I don't think shipping will cost that much unless you want it 'over night'. The skates both weigh 7-8 lbs. You can go to www.ups.com and calculate time and cost. I'm from Omaha, zipcode is 68136.
WAKESKATER16 - The rubberized griptape is made from rubber/plastic based material that has the traditional griptape feel without the abrasion of regular griptape. It is definitely softer then griptape but not as soft as foam. It has a gripier feel then foam. It won't tear up your fingers when carrying it but it might scratch you if you fell on it just right, but it won't be as bad as griptape. The best way for me to explain it is think of griptape being like sandpaper and the rubberized grip tape being more like a running track at a highschool. Hopefully this helps.
