Reed Hansen knows how to ride a wakeskate...

so well that he is our 2007 wakeskating national champion. Congratulations, good sir. you've done well for yourself. I haven't written my write up yet, but I simply couldn't hold it in. I blacked out after he landed his wake to wake 360 shuv.

Brian grubb placed second, stu shinn placed third. All rode and earned the respect of the gods, and the new wave of riders is displaying the progression and evolution of wakeskating in a masterful fashion. Give matt manzari and stu time and they'll be wearing trucker hats that say "i'm number one." (that's actually a little SNL joke, based on a commercial for said trucker hat starring the captivating and charming will ferrell. but I think his hat said "world's greatest" or something like that.)

Also, a new ronix pro model was unveiled on the podium (the bottom deck, bros).

Yeah I saw Reed's prototype last week when he was down here it's really sweet and a real solid bi-level.

I took pics of all of the pieces (like a good skate nerd should), but he only brought the bottom deck on the podium. I forgot to bring my USB wire with me (or whatever it's called)...I will see if my brother has one that is compatible. Otherwise, in good time...

But I would like to talk to someone at ronix and find out when the time is right to maybe do an article on the board. I don't know what's been said and what can be said...I wouldn't want to ruin anything they're working on. On top of it, has there even been a press release stating that reed joined the ronix family? Anyway, hearing about and seeing that board fired me up, and I definitely want to check it out, for sure. Same thing with GB's new bi-level...it's all about support!!

Yeah he landed a caught w2w three shuv to the flats first try last week, then he cut out did and did a kicklfip, cut right back to a varial flip.

His new board is an all wood bi-level that was sealed real well and felt like it didn't plan on breaking...ever. But, it was just the first prototype.

i rode with him today at the projects....he showed me his new skate and it looks sooo dope...let me just say that he is soooooo unbelievable....in one 15 min run he managed to stomp: 4 kickflips, 2 varial flips, 1 3 flip, 1 double kickflip, and he also landed a varial heelflip and a backside bigflip, but he didnt manage to ride away from em. i took video of it, and i am just about to throw it on pats hardrive and he will put it on the website...hopefully some other crazy riders pop in and throw down for the camera...but i would just like to say that reed hansen is KING....that is all
