agreed vince. whatever happened to Attention Deficit? I've been waiting for another video from them ever since pre-pop. it was legendary how pre-pop had all the ride sequences in real-time, none of that slow-mo tricks. _________________

this topic is a preference thing, but i loved sfumato's intro+song combo... think its the postal service's natural anthem, then it just blends into danHam's timeless moment of inspiration.... _________________ ripped riders yah? |

I can't argue with that, raven! (the second one, I mean--but was it back lip or front board??? ). Seriously, more often than not I watch that shuv by danny because it's poetry in motion--but it's just a shuv!! and the pre pop bit...that song along with the footage did a great job of creating a mood...and the sfumato bit? fah-get-ah-bout it!

i will say that I'm also partial to linear perspective's opener. I reckon it's clint mansell...

also, I don't know that adef is doing wake films anymore. I wanted to watch that old bi-level promo he helped out with for the surf expo that one year, and the link didn't work. As it turns out, adef has a new site, but it doesnt' have a whole lot of wake, and it mentions how pre pop is the last adef film for alliance (or whatever it said). _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

doubleg, what do you mean by "real time"? are you saying there is no slow mo, cuz i'm thinking about that first line d-hamp does in his part and im' pretty sure it was definitely slow mo'd.

Raven, what video is that?

electricsnow, in LP there's that intro techno song but then the song after that is "Time Trap" by Built to Spill. goes perfect with the feel of the video _________________

narc-p rider, the video raven is referring to is asterisk! And I agree with you--you know, on the whole LP/music bit! But yeah, the techno bit is clint mansell and then they go into kova's section with built to spill...and THEN they have the best song in the video, which is Tacet by beef wellington. Sorry, I'm bias on that one!!! Frick...that cole munster kid was a huge inspiration to me and he still is. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

NaRC-P rider, you might be right it is slowed by abit after i had a 2nd look (probably to let viewers make out the tricks easier).. Most of the riding in it though isn't "slowed-down" or quite close to real-time _________________
