if he has the white key in it wont go over like 30 something but when you put in the yellow key it wont go over 70. so if it hits 70 and it sounds messed up you should get it looked at

The RXT only goes about 65 mph, I know, the Speedo says 70, well you cant expect a little plastic wheel on the ride plate to be 100% correct. Anyway's, if its going 70, there's defiantly nothing wrong with it. The governer is in the ecu, its more refereed to as a rev limiter. The ECU can not be reprogrammed. It is set to let the watercraft run around 7800 rpm. You can not run much more RPM then that without ruining a motor. Most guys racing watercraft have there rev limiter set to about 8000 to 8200, you can make a watercraft go 85 to 90 mph at 8000 rpm, but it takes a lot of money to do that. Watercraft manufactures have to detune all watercraft to meet a coast guard rule that says no watercraft being sold can go faster then 65 mph. But you occasionally get one that may go 68 or a little faster. I can go on and on about this, but there is no Governor to take off, And if you want a new ECU you can reprogram or buy one with a set rev limiter around 8200 your looking at around $3,000 to $10,000 there rare and not cheap.

Cody25911, hahah alright thanks

CarterOG308, yeah the one that pisses me off the most is when you get a glassy lake and no one is out there then comes some jerk tearin it up on their jet ski or some idiot who takes a couple laps and then leaves. sure would be nice to have your own private lake

my bud has and rxt and i didnt like it much, the grip was nice on the handles tho, i thought it had hand warmers cus it was so squishy. it has alot of power but i couldnt keep the speed very well, i have an 03 gtx vans edition and i find mine is way more consistant.

Cody25911, why does it seem that the 03 Triple Crown feels so much better than the new editions ? just my opinion
