That could be the case, but they're pretty thin, so I don't think they will soak up much water. If it actually was a problem, you could cut a little tiny slot in the sides. But I don't think that will be the case.

I wear that exact shoe got it for 25 bucks at ross and i love them, they drain well and dry fast, get them you wont be dissapointed. oh yeah the are very grippy.

dude, i have been sport vans the past 6 months, oh man best wakeskate shoes ive ever had. right now im rockin the classic lace ones all red, super light, 40 bucks, you can feel the board so well its like a fvckin condem for your foot. vans fo life
