I went looking for the flanges today at home depot and I couldn't find them.
could someone give me a specific name for them or tell me which department they're in.

ask for a stub flange or floor flange. i plan to start construction on my NT rail next week
i have one question though, how did you attach the wood to the trex? just screw up with smaller screws so they don't go all the way through the trex?

skimboarder, why would it matter if u screwed it straight down from the trex? it'd be plush with it, its not like ur board would catch on it.

TrevorT, i've never built one so i didn't know if it could effect the slide, thanks though. i don't want to buy all the materials and then mess it up, you know.

So I finally got this 12' incline rail done. Took about an hour and a half because I had to keep recharging my pos drill. I also had to double the wooden part so it wouldn't flex so much. I am only using 3 - 1.25" flanges and 3 - 10' poles, but I think this should do the trick. I am thinking about adding another 8-12' once I get it setup at the winch spot we are going to use, maybe an up-flat or 24' flat bar later on.
Check the pics. Also, the lake is glass and I should be out there instead of here. Tomorrow Morning session for sure...

12 ft is kinda short. double it and that would be a kick acs incline rail.
Just my imput.
Still a sick rail and will be hella fun.

i built one like this 12' it's really good for getting confidence about ollie'n on and figuring it out, but 16' is really what you need. at 12 once you get on it you're already a few feet down, but still fun. i just put one piece of 2x10 or something under the trex and it's plenty stable.

I believe the poles have threads in them and you just screw them in. Correct me if i am wrong.

I ended up messing up 2 of my poles on my 16 footer so I only had 2 pols holding it up. One in the front one in the rear. lol
It was still somewhat stable.

don't put the flanges on the boards before you sink the poles. the poles dont screw in once you've sunk them. of course, don't sink the poles too far before putting the flanges on and attaching to the boards, otherwise you'll have to screw them in with your drill in the water (like us)
