has anyone ever tried to make a skate out of foam and fiberglass? im shaping the foam right now, guna make it concave. i was thinking of painting over it with fiberglass paint, and if it's too light then mount it on the flat deck as a bi-level. _________________ "it feels good being on the caboose of the progression train"

i had a wood skate that I made and it was falling apart cause of the 3 year old epoxy, and then I fiberglassed it and it is so strong and it is still going. _________________ l_o/------------------------<l |

use marine ply that way it doesnt warp if your fiberglass or resin cracks also i drill holes in all middle layers of the wood to be laminated that way all exess resin may be squeezed out(very very important) eliminating air pockets that expand and then in turn cause de-lam.....or leave it to me and ill make you a custom.....you will learn that creating concave and rockered tails is what seperates the men from the boys holler if you have anymore questions _________________ I make custom coldmolded handcrafted wakeskates currently offering 4 different boards (Flatdeck, Flat-Mod, Concave and Channeled Concaved designs in 40, 41, and 42" applications.......website is coming and team is being drafted |
