hi tahoe,
yes the obstacles floating on water, on something like styrofoam. styrofoam alone is not allowed in germany, because of the environmental protection.
why?
our lake is too deep to put the obstacles on the ground, therefore we put anchors in the lake. make a floating obstacle and and wire it with ropes. first problem: you need a lot of heavy anchors. second problem: the waterlevel changes over the year in the lake, therefore you have to make the wiring new, sometimes.
GOOD
with this construction, it is very easy to replace or swap obstacles, for competion as example, or only to change the line you will ride (slida kicker uprail, or kicker kicker funbox, or or or) its like an slopestyle park in snowboard buisness. thats really nice.

Hi,
the park was planned last year (jens, carsten, inge, solle, and and the whole crew at MWC). the chief of the cable park has made the whole sponsor stuff. after that, we have ask a roofer company, which has nothing or few to do over the winter month. they build a obstacle like a kicker in one day. it was amazing to see how fast you can build obstacles, if you know what you have to do.
At the moment we have 35 metric tons on the ground of the lake, a whole week of work (35 anchors weight 1000kg) the coverplates are received, I hope we are ready in 2 weeks, yeeeaaahhhhh FREAK OUT in to weeks
bye stephan
