After a grueling 8 month build/development "The Motor Rope" finally lives.
After having multiple problems including chain misalignment and misadjustment and rope guidance issues, I finnally got everything sorted and had a 3 hour long winch skimming session yesterday. The thing ran flawlessly except for popping the chain once during our 50+ pulls. No authority fgures hassled us at all which was surprising as the beach we were at is very popular. We had atleast 15 people come up and ask us questions and tell us "we should patent the idea" etc etc. All in all I couldn have asked for the thing to run any better. AND, I got video!

I don't have any pictures of the actual winch and I cant get any until tuesday or so because im in tampa at the moment. But i'll be sure to post some up when I get home.

ScottyB, Well if you can make me skate like TNT, you might have to come up here and ride at some point. The only thing is I don't know if the little 5 horse i've got on there has the horsepower. I'm planning on buying a torque converter so it will pull wakeskaters, but for now I think its a skim board only affair.
