| That is required by law to pay a 5 dollar fee everytime they use the boat ramp. Good old pinellas county started this about 2 years ago but the law wasnt enforced very well and i was able to get away without paying until today. I came back to the ramp to be greeted with a 30 dollar fine for failure to pay the 5 dollar fee. I know i had it coming to me but i was just wondering if anyone else has this issue and what you guys think about it. I think with all the taxes I pay that it would be nice if the boat ramp was free to use for the public. |

haha thats a joke man. If it is a public boat ramp you shouldn't have to pay anything, thats what your taxes are for! Where are you expect to pay this ramp fee? Is there a booth there that you expected to go pay before you put your boat in the water? _________________ ~ www.integrity-wake.com ~ www.iwinchglobal.com ~ |

Well it used to be a box with an envelope that was based off of the honor system. I most deffinately but dishonor to that system as i would just pretend to place money in the magic money box and then simply take the pass that comes with the envelope and place it on my dash. Now they have this technological magic money box that even takes debit cards and prints you out a slip of the time and date you bought the pass. This one intimidated me much more and i feared that my time would come........it came today |

| at local marinas you have to pay here, $10 at the closest one which is 2 mins down the lake, you can actually beat the person in the truck back to my place on the jetski, theres a few on other feeder lakes close by that are free, the only problem with that is the drive over takes 10 mins, but then the drive back to my place on boat or jetski takes 35. so im paying the money anyways in gas. |

It's $10-$20 here to launch in centeral and northern Cali. There's a ranger station kind of thing at the enterance and you pay either pay for day use, for overnight stay (for houseboating), or for ___ days, etc. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

It's a joke around here, 10 bucks for the most crowded ramp you can ever imagine, 6 bucks a little farther down the river.. but with a pwc there is a trail through the woods that leads to the promised land
Paying for gas and everything else that goes into owning a pwc/boat, paying for a ramp just blows. _________________ ------------------------------------------------------

there is a few places up here where you have to pay...luckily the river is free to everyone boat ramp included.... and if they ever do start charging we will just leave our boat and ski in the water behind my house.... that sux kyle... you should just pay the 50 dollars to drive up here and then ill save you the boat ramp fee... lol _________________ Nothin better than Wakeskating and Motocross!

| TheLeprechaun, haha wow sounds like a deal. Ya its good to know im not the only one getting screwed over. Maybe for some of you 5 dollars might not be much but i can barely scrape together the change for the waverunner let alone just to dump it in the water. |
