That's pretty cool how it's possible for women to be on the same level and possibly better as some of the guys. Anyone think this type of thing could take off, women making their presence very well known in the industry? |

i think as an individual she can make a name for herself in the industry which is VERY COOL. from riding strictly cable for the last few months, i really havent seen to much progression out of the women compared to the men. that shuvit on top of the box pictured is sweet, i know i couldnt do that. mad props to savanah, very cool |

I had no doubt that women would come into this sport, because around where I live Ive seen several girls progress very nicely on their wakeboards and a couple on wakeskates. I have no problem with them as long as they done take my butter. Plus it wouldn't be so bad if they all looked like Savanah. She did look pretty nice didnt she? electricsnow is a girl who seems to know her way around a wakeskate. |

Ok, Ive got to butt in here now. Texas Ski Ranch forgot to mentoin that the day of the contest it was blowing about 15-20, and the boat driver did not have a FU@#$%'EN clue how to drive. And the runs were 3 minutes long, not 3 fails, this basically means that if the boat driver wants to take his sweet ass time to turn around and get you, your getting screwed on your time. 3rd they had a rail out there, that if it was any more side wayz than what it was, hell I guess you could have used it for a boat dock. No offence to the 1st and 2nd place finishers, but come on I think I speak for every wake skater out there none of us wake up in the morning and say ow yes its totally choppy and blown out, LET GO RIDE !!! No I dont think so. Basically the contest on Saturday was any bodys win, it boiled down to if you got lucky with your driver, or if the wind lightend up a bit for your run. But further more to home girl who got 2nd thats rad more power to her, I've actually talked to her and she's really sweet. To make the long story short, Boat Super Store is hosting a contest down in Houston the 2nd. weekend in April, and I would love to have as many wake skaters come to the event, including everyone from The Ski Ranch. The way we have set up the contest is 5 min runs or 4 falls whitch ever comes first, this will give the rider a respective amount of time to really show case there skills... Hope to see every one there.
P.S. Either way you have good days and bad. |

I'm glad all of you guys are stoked for Savanah. I also think it is rad that she did well in the contest, regardless of the conditions. She obviously overcame the elements. Strategy is just as important in contest riding as having skills.
Congrats goes out to Savanah from Wakeskating.com. |
