hey i bought a clint tompkins 41.5 flat deck. it was really a nice looking board pbt top and bottom. i rode it maybe 2 weeks at owc maybe 2 or 3 times a week. both top and bottom pbt was coming ungluded. and then the two pieces of wood that were gluded together seperated in 4 different places. i put it in the garbage can today at owc

i dont think i rode it that hard to tear it up this quik anyone else seen this happen with kampus. lookd and rode so nice but didnt hold up really sad i guess

damn. gluded decks tend to brake quickly.

next time buy one with glue holding it together.

Unless it's completely waterlogged...it really wouldn't have been that difficult to repair. Some masking tape, some waterproof glue and some clamps would have done the trick. A little marine varnish would be alright as well.

DirtyCracker, My OMEN rules! However, I did see something last year that was a little scary. I ride at KC watersports all summer and last summer there was only one other dude with an Omen revolt. He had like maybe 4-5 pulls, brand new board mind you, and his durasurf delaminated from his board. Scared the shi- out of me cause I have the same board. Might have been a manufacturing defect, or maybe there was a protruding screw on a rail, but that was a sad sight. Regardless, the Omen's are solid. I just got a tracking number for my Union, so maybe that will be the beast this year...

The reason you can't fix the Kampus like a normal board is because the whole board is vertically laminated like a snowboard core so it cant be fixed like a normal ply deck.

wakeshredder, Do you know who the guy was with the bad board? i haven't gotten a single deck back for a warranty issue, thats why I ask.
