|
|
| Ive basically just started out wakeskating last summer and really enjoyed it. I want to upgrade from my flat liquid force skate but i dont know what skate i should get. I skateboard a lot and im pretty decent at that so wakeskating comes pretty naturally. I dont know if i should spend the extra cash to get like a top of the line wakeskate though. I also have a size 13 foot so i dont know how wide the tail has to be. I saw that the new sattelyte heartbreaker was 12" at the tips. Would i need to get a wider board or do you think i could get like a cheaper gator board mcguckin or something. Thats like 11.25 i think. Any suggestions??? |

I already read that. If you read it thoroughly you will see that i asked some specific questions. I already researched alot of skates a lot. Im leaning towards a gator mcguckin or an oak team machine or maybe even a sattelyte heartbreaker. I need to know what you guys think would be best for me. Im like 6'1" and weigh 180. And i have a huge ass size 13 foot haha. _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters. I star in high-quality pornographic films. To each his own... |

IMO it depends on what you are going to use it for, like w2w or whatever else you want. but its mainly just prefrence, this summer try to go demo and see what you really like and what you dont like. just my 2 cents. _________________ .............for no particular rhyme or reason............. |

The shop that i would be able to demo from just closed down
Im not really going to be doing much wake to wake though. Ill mostly be trying shuvs and 3 shuvs and stuff like that. I need to know if the width of the board is going to matter a whole lot because of my big foot. _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters. Alright. NOw its just up to deciding what i should get. I think i want to spend right around 200 dollars. I think i want either an oak team machine or maybe an old integrity. I definately dont want a liquid force or a hyperlite though. _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters. I star in high-quality pornographic films. To each his own... |

are there any real advantages to having a "composite" skate or whatever integritys are made of? I like the feel of wood but ive never ridden an integrity to know the difference _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters. I star in high-quality pornographic films. I've got a size 11 and Cary K has a 12 or a 13. The 07's are wide and perfect for dudes with big feet. _________________ Life's Kredo = "When the snake falls in love with the spagetti it's time to buy a new hat." & "I guess I need to whiskey up these corn flakes..and heroin up this Orange Juice." |

If you are looking for a wood deck, there's nothing but good things going around about the new Sattelyte products. I know you said you don't want a LF but the 07s are made from a totally different production company and are supposed to be nice.
The composites are usually lighter and thinner, and pretty damn durable. Omen's are wood-core but I know there's a video around here from Omen that shows them running the revolt over in a car and shooting it with a 9mm, haha. Most of the new composite decks also have reshapable rails for rider preference. I had an 06 integrity and loved it but it was a little too small for me (tnt 39.75) and kind of on the light side. I have the 06 revolt now and its perfect for me and pretty wide. It took a session to get used to the rocker but I like it now. It's hard to pick a board for someone if they don't have a chance to ride or demo them. because as we say here on ws.com..... "It's all preference." |

Which skate do you think is better
An 07 oak team machine or an 07 gator boards mcguckin. Im going to be doing mostly techincal riding not that much w2w. This will be my second season wakeskating and its not something im going to quit. But i want to know if you guys think i should pay the extra $ for a "higher" end skate since i still have some things to learn. _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters. conwest, I'm 6'1" 180lbs with size 13 feet as well. I ride the integrity tnt 41 and it fits my shoe and weight perfectly to me the tnt just feels really good, the concave, pop, size/shape works great.
I also skateboard too. Do you break a lot of skateboards? i crack mine within a couple days of riding them lol. I wonder if its my size or my riding style that cracks them so fast. _________________ integrity-wake.com | chriscut.com |

haha i wish i had the money for an integrity. I just dont think i should spend that much on something. Actually since i have a job again i might just start saving some more money up for one.
I break skateboards in like a month too lol. It really depends how hard your skating them though. Like if your doing stair sets and jumping down things it will break a lot faster. Oh and lipslides haha. I crack a board by like the 2nd lipslide no matter what.
Any word on the 07 integritys though? _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters. I star in high-quality pornographic films. To each his own... |

Oak team machine is lookin really nice to me. I dont think i want to spend that extra money on the integrity or an omen though. I like the feel of wood skates anyways. Ok but has anyone ever ridden a gator mcguckin board? I might get that if its cheaper. Either an oak team machine or a gator board mcguckin. Those are my two choices. Whats your opinion on them? _________________ Some people make birdhouses, some people knit sweaters. I star in high-quality pornographic films. To each his own... |

Don't be afraid to spend a little extra on a board that will basically last you a lifetime. _________________ ------------------------------------------------------
