While outside walking around I took a look at my resources available and came up with a few ideas.

I have this small body of water(2-5 feet deep) and about 20-25ft. long and 12ft. wide.

Well I also remembered I have all of this wood/PVC/metals laying around:

I remember seeing a small pool-rail-pool transfer on Drew D's video. Would it be worth it since I have almost everything free to use? I would make the pool from 15-25ft. long and then either a rail and/or gap.

Opinions?

Also, another idea.

I have a 14ft. flat bottom boat sitting on a trailer with no motor. I thought about using it as a mobile rail since it has a trailer. I don't know really how I would build a top on it? I'm lost with ideas on the trailer so any would be great. I wanted to put a wood floor on the entire top part of the boat and then go from there(flat rail, incline, kicker, etc.).

opinions?

urinal mint, the little boat is easy to use as a rail, you can just flip it over and slide the bottom or do as these people did.

As for the pond, the pools seem short, but for what you would be doing all you need is to build a startign dock about 10-15ft long to ride off into the starting pool to help get up to speed.

Steven M,

i was wanting to start from the pool i would need to build then gap it or hit a rail which would land in the small body of water in the pics. i figured it would at least get me somewhat used to pool gaps that would be at comps?

the only reason i'm going for this is because the resources are free.

urinal mint,

Ya, I get what you are saying. The starting dock is just a 10ft piece of plastic or trex used to help you get up to speed and already be on top of the water of the start pool. Personaly, from looking at your pics I'd say go for it. I mean as you said, you have all the rescources there already.

If you make the pool long enough you should be set to do anything you want with that landing 'pond.' make a gap and set the rail a little off to the side so you can do both.

.. that water looks a little mucky haha.

urinal mint, TRY AND MAKE the sarting pool as long as possible, a 30 ft pool goes by faster then you think and doesn't leave alotof room for mistakes.

yeah. stagnant puddle water = bad.

But you definitely got something there. Ya just gotta build another pool and extend that one a bit. A little work now and ya got your own sick ass little spot. Have fun with it.

i suggest maybe digging it a little longer... u could easliy do that with some of your buddies, just start digging and make it longer, let it rain.. make a 10 ft starting pad then you can have a longer rail and more landing area. cuz with taht u could only make a very small maybe 10 ft rail... not really much to jib off. but whatever, have fun. it's a mud pond pretty much. my dogs swim in it so i'm not too sure about the chlorine. we have a john deere tractor that can dig, just need to wait for it to dry up so i can start digging.

urinal mint, can you dig that little pond to make it longer? You'd be surprised what you can do with a shovel and a little time if the ground is soft enough...looks sick though, I wouldn't pass it up.

Urinal mint, hey baby. I like the materials and the land you got. I'd do like Pirate said and make a 30' start up pool and maybe even just gap into the pond ..........no rail. Everybody likes putting up lots of rails in these pool gaps, I would like to pull some tricks over the gap. You could always add a rail later.

The boat idea is the bomb though. Cut some plywood to wedge over the seats and make a floor like you said. You could make a nice Aframe or even an up-flat-shuv off the end. It may be a good idea to put some weight(sand/dirt) in the boat before you top it with wood to give it more stability. If you try and shuv off the bow she might bow down, you dig. Good luck buddy and show us what you've made of all this in a while.

Nice looking dogs dude. I have a lab malamut mix that looks like yours.
