rail etiquette

So, what is it if your ride on a lake and see one you want to hit it. What is the proper etquette on hitting it?

Ride up, slide, ride away....don't look back. Don't hit it if other people are and no darkslides.

nottoldyet, Hit it enjoy it, if you see the person who owns it ask them if they mind you hitting it... Most people wont mind unless you try to poach their session or mess up their rails.

Most importantly if you mess it up Fix it!

SleuCrew, Thats what I thought I have respect. I don't mind when people ride what i build just wonder if everyone felt the same.

I have a problem when people who do not know what they are doing come and hit my rails. It's a really big liability to have people hitting it, you put it in so if they get hurt on it, they could get you in trouble, i dont mind people hitting mine unless i see them crash a few times bad and get close to hurting themselves.

nottoldyet, As long as you are respectful and not trying to kill yourself on someone's rail most people are pretty cool.

The only time I have ever flipped out on people for riding my rails is when they don't know what they are doing, because if somebody gets hurt on a rail the cops are there real quick to pull every rail from then on and it ruins everybody's fun.

Or your typical moron that crashes and pulls your trex off and never comes back or even makes an attempt to fix what he just broke.

But usually respect and common courtesy will get you a long ways.

idk sometimes it's best to ask the person who owns it first, cuz like i have one in front of my house that is broken right now, but you cant really tell just from looking at it from afar. someone might get mangled if they try to shred it.

If your in Havasu and Your riding my rail, Odds are me and Jeff are going to tell you to take a hike.....

Mainly cuase, we built it, and we dont want someone breaking it........ Also if we see you hitting it then odds are your riding in are Cove....... thats right i'm such a dick i said OUR COVE...... When someone say's "this isn't your lake" i respond "yes it is" Now leave.........

If anyone where to be riding before i got there i'd wake the shizzle outta them untill they left...flick them off or just yell/talk shizzle and see what happens...

If there were any other wakeskaters around here I think I'd be alright with them hitting our stuff.. but last summer during high tide our flat rail was only a couple inches out of the water and..
these two idiots on stand up jet skis come flying by, I see the one jerk lining it up and rides over it Mad

I seriously almost blew a blood vessel screaming at this beach.. he's dead if he ever comes near it again. It's been like six months and I'm still pissed Laughing

So, what if you skate or ride bmx your not going to grind ledges, rails or jersey barriers you did not build and don't know the owner. Then you are also saying your not going to winch fountains unless you have permission. Your also saying you are going to walk up the dock and ask the homeowner if you can back lip his dock.

I build swimming pools. I had someone skate a pool I was doing at an apt complex my first big commercial pool after having to pay to get the interior finish redone and fix tile and coping it I lost 1/2 of my profit. Because, I lost that money I lost other jobs that I had to have X amount of money in the bank to get the contract one of the jobs ironically was the pool at Vans skate park here in Orlando. I still built the thing but for someone else as a subcontractor for a third of the money. I would have been building the rest of Vans concrete pools but it was cheaper for the other guy to hire subs in the towns Vans was building skate parks then bring me and my guys there to do the job. I was almost that guy. But, I can't hate because I was that kid before I've smithed marble ledge or 2 and rode in pools karma is a beach I guess. I now put skate stoppers in pools at apt complexes until it is getting water in it.
What I'm saying is you never know who the man is it could be one of your own trying to make it.

i think its pretty ridiculous people are claiming water. unless they are running the line wrong or doing power turns then u guys r just being flicks. Neutral
