Well its official Joshua Steele and the posse he rides with have formed a cool but strange opproch to a gang of riders, " JUICY BOOTY ". I had a chance last week to kick it and ride with him and his room mate Matt. Those guy are insane the rail 's they have are sick, my friends got a sub. to Alliance and the pic of Steele is in there of 1 of the many rails out there. Well to any one who cares or was wondering, there secret is out, and I can tell you they all love the color pink !

Why yes, yes I can scan it...

Hopefully it will be of decent quality...I'm not all that well versed when it comes to this scanner. In fact, the hampson ad was its maiden voyage...

Lastly, I received my magazine yesterday. It always takes forever to get here. But they have a really great magazine...it's all classy, not cheesy articles or magazine characters...and best of all, no gratuitous thongage...

Sorry, I don't consider anything that Chase writes classy. Alliance has become a series of inside jokes for the ADD crew.

Actually, I think it's classy because they don't have chicks in thongs on every other page. yes, this has been debated in that mag and yes, girls do wear bikinis, but is it really necessary to have "tammy's timeline" or the "ride her page?" Give me a break, I don't know who to blame if they can't get anyone to look at the tour dates without some hooker looking chick on the header. And the ride her page seems strikingly similar to the "chick page" or whatever alliance calls their ending homage to attractive females everywhere. What's funny is that I don't even mind the hot chick page...at least they used to come up with a funny quote for it, and they didn't have any other strategically placed, cheap looking women anywhere else in the magazine.

And to top it off, Wbm's idea of humor is lame crudeness...so, were we supposed to laugh when matt hickman said "angry jerk disease?" Yes! The wit, I can't contain myself! I think Chris heavener is witty...as is Tony smith...those guys have legitimate wit and humor (obviously this is my opinion and others may not agree), WBM is just cheap (kind of like the girls in their magazines). And I dont' think enough can be said about bill mccaffray. When bill and tony were at the helm of wbm, they had a great magazine and at times, it seemed like they had some stuff that people weren't ready for (bill had some trick columns that got people thinking). One other thing to mention is the crap that is filling up the pages of wbm...those water police and the fortune telling duck??? For me, that's infinitely worse than any add joke...at least the add guys are funny...and I think it's funny that alliance made a little jab at that water police bit. THANK YOU!

Now, this wasn't anything personal, but I wanted to defend my viewpoint...wbm is a floundering, sad little publication and it's disappointing to see where it has ended up. And yes, I have written and am still working on my own articles, so yes, I do think I could do a better job than others when it comes to ideas and good writing.

I don't disagree with any of your points about wbm. Althought it's interesting that Alliance's "Girl Page" doesn't offend you but the Ride Her Setup does, particularly when they are featuring actually women riders such as Will Christien. Is it just the name?

Personally I think both magazines have gone WAY down hill in quality and I sometimes wonder why I both reading them.

I think it is funny how this started out as yet another self promotion topic and has turned into a magizne topic. But before that, the topic instantly got overtaken by an ad that features a rider that isn't pumping his own ego on this message board. Take the hint guy.......good riding speaks for itself.

i think it was danny who was on here if not a good impersonator anyway he promoted his sticker pack and such but i dont really care about that. However this josh guy sounds like a terd if all hes doing is promoting himself. I hope an aligator bites your board in two haha.

While we're on the topic of Joshua Steele, I wanted to bring up the whole Kampus situation. I think it's total bull poo and all racist and stuff what they did. Just because Joshua is a homosexual doesn't mean he should be kicked off the team. Homos have rights too. I mean, don't you think that's racist? It's weird, I heard from an inside source that it all started when Joshua kept talking about all this juicy booty stuff. Apparently the Kampus guys thought that was all weird and junk, and then they found out that the juicy booty he was really talking about was juicy MAN booty. Then they kicked him off the team and said "queers aint 'llowed in these parts, ya hear? Na go'on an git yer ass owta here!". Isn't that racist? Hopefully his new board will liberate him from the closet of homosexual wakeskater obscurity.

Yes I confess, I've been sleeping with Elton John ever sence I signed with Kampus. The real truth about the split between me and Kampus, was I became pregnant with one of his many kid's we've already have. The child support is great, how do you think I'm about to ride every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very Happy

Billj, I will admit that at first I was like "these aren't necessary" (meaning the girl pages in back). But when you look at the magazine as a whole, they're (alliance) pretty consistent when it comes to providing good, credible information and they do have nice pics. WBM has some "cheap shots" so to speak, with that timeline thing being an example. Plus, they're clinging to a topic which is so "1998" if I may say so myself. (the reef girl controversy; LET IT GO!) Plus, sometimes I need to lighten up and when I started reading their clever little quips, how could you not chuckle and say, "OHHHH, those guys!" While doing a little finger shake thing. I don't know, I feel like the content makes up for that one page, vs. wbm and their lacking sense of humor and enjoyable articles.
Anyway, that's just me...clearly there are a few people that like wbm....those are the letters that seem to dominate their letters section.
