I suck...I figured I'll get that out of the way now. I have picked up wakeskating more because I got a bone contusion wakeboarding. I have a CWB Lucky and i have never been able to do anything besides ollies...not even wake to wake. I rode a friends older Hyperlite Gate or scape...not sure. Anyway, I was able to land my first wake to wake on it and I know it sounds like BS, but I almost landed a wake to wake Kickflip on it (believe it or not...I'm serious. If you want credibility I post on Wakeboarder under the name of agfan12). Anyway, I was wondering if it could be my board that sux and not only me.

Bowen,

It could be, but i think its all in your head. People are out there freaking killing it on flat decks, on bi levels, on intergritys, wood, plastic, all kids of skate. I use to ride a lucky, then got a byerly, then got a wood concave. I love the wood concave the best out of all 3. I would look into investing money into an integrity or bi level.. there so hot right now. plus you will look cooler riding that than riding a cwb.

Also, did the hyperlite skate have huge kicktails and was compressed molded board? or was it flat and wood?

YES your board and you both suck........ Laughing j/k dude..

i am a strong believer in "you ride how you feel" i think that since you already have it in your head that your board sucks. your giving yoursefl an excuse to suck. a good board makes a world of a diff.... and a integrity is pretty much a magic carpet that will turn you into aaron reed overnight. what im trying to say is just have fun if you want a new skate then get a new one, i personaaly dont like flat deck's and would much rather have a concave. but ride everything you can and find what works best for you, i promise you though a integrity will work best for you. Laughing also where do you go to school? ever come out to havasu

PIRATE, I go to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I have never been to Havasu, but I would love to go if invited Wink

As far as an Integrity goes, I have heard great things...but I don't have 300 bones to spend on a skate...thats more than my wakeboard was...I'll check the classifieds for a used skate.

The Hyperlite I rode was a flat deck w/ foam, wood.

Also are butter boards any good?

F-BUTTER BOARDS DUDE. the skate that you rode was a hyperlight scape, ie-my first skate.... your more than welcome to come ride down here anytime dude.

i know you probably dont want to spen 300 bucks on a skate when you probably don't skate that much but i'll let you ride mine and you'll change your mind........i think that if you keep charging it you'll get good no matter what your skating on

Bowen, I had a cwb lucky, crappyskate, I belive that it could actually affect you riding in a negative way, but I don't think the scape is much better IMO, if you want a good flat skate cheap lookinto cassete and Kampus, theres a store in corona called California Correct craft, and that have some skates on close out, and there is another shop called Tric Wake and Moto, my friends own it they also have some flats and concaves on the rack for cheap you should check them out, but do your self a favor and ditch the Lucky, it's not even really a connelly, it's a NASH, you know the company that makes all those walmart skateboards, that suck balls, butter boards are ok, but IMO the K-39 is better and cheaper, just some food for thought, maybe Ill see you and Brandon out at havasu.
