I think I win for craziest Christmas story.

Sorry it is in the wrong forum section, but I figured I'd post it here.

So today is Christmas, Merry Christmas ws.com, anyways woke up, opened gifts with the family and went to grandmas to see the family.

Around 9P.M. I return home in my own car, alone, and proceed into the house. I notice some of my speakers are on the ground and broken and I'm kind of confused, because they weren't there when I left. So, I walk up into my room to get on my new lap top I got for Christmas only to notice it is missing. I walk around the house and wow everything is gone. Between 4P.M. and 9P.M. numerous thieves robbed my house.

I know it was more than one person because they carried out a lot of large things including my two 12" subs in the box in my room. They took two laptops, a flat screen Tv and the owrse thing of all, all of my dad's video editing equipment(he is a video producer that works out of our house). He doesn't edit with a computer, he uses specialized editing machines. They took his DVD duplicater, DVD printers, multiple editing systems, 9VHS decks he uses to mass produced VHS's, 8 DVD players he uses when he is really mass producing DVD's and many high end video cameras.

I feel so violated it is ridiculous. I mean has mankind lost all dignity?

Well the cops came and went, home owner's insurance will cover most of the stuff lost. We are looking at over $20K worth of video equipment alone.

Now we have started narrowing down who did the crime. They came through the back door(broke door) and went straight up a pretty well hidden stair well and just went through my dad's offices, my room, and my sister's room. I think they have been in or around the house before because they knew the staircase was there and they just stayed on that side of the house. They didn't touch anything downstairs, no entrance into the master bedroom where there is plenty of jewelry, three digital cameras, and a giant new flat screen. Since I'm the teenager, my dad is putting the blame squarely on the shoulders of someone I've brought into the house before because I usually have alot of different friends crashing the night at my house. My guess is that it was the yard crew because they were dumb enough to load a bunch of VHS decks and haul them downstairs and out to their car even though they can't be pawned because they are practicly obsolete. But they have been around and know the stair case is there. the other wierd thing is that they took alot of the stuff needed to set up your own video production office so it could have been an old disgruntled employee, but I doubt it.

Come on detectives of ws.com help me out!

Sorry to hear that, hunter b. It seems like whoever robbed your house knew what your family had, especially if they completely skipped the downstairs area and seemed to go right for the expensive equipment. (Not to mention the fact that you said they knew the layout of your house, or seemed to know it.)

My only thing is that there was tons of jewelry and a giant new flat screen in the downstairs. They could have gotten alot more money for the jewelry than some crappy VHS decks.

shizzle man that is sooo harsh. The theives deffintly must have knowns what trade your dad was in becuase like you have mentioned they wouldnt have gone straight for the good stuff. That is rediculous they got all that stuff. Did you tell any of your friends or anyone about your new lap top? i donno sounds super fishy, and im sure u would told some of your buds u were gunna be leaving to see your grandparents at a certain time and being home at a certain time... so, i mean think about that.

ohh my god that sucks. why do people have to steal? i heard on the news yesterday that two thieves stole $20,000-$30,000 dollars from a church safe that was going to poor children. wtff are people thinking?

Well the finally tally is in and the stolen goods were worth just under $50k. That is nuts. Still no leads, but I'm getting all the heat. Detective is up my ass about who I have wakeboarded with in the last 6 months and who has been to the house and all this crazy stuff.

That efin blows dude. My best guess is its someone whos really into editing or making movies.

Also id go to all the local audio shops and ask them if anyone came in asking if the shop would like to buy the subs or if the shop could install them. Tell them the make of the subs and the type of box.

Im reeallly leaning toward someone who likes editing movies n shizzle because if i loved editing and makin movies and i knew someone who had some insane editing equip. id skip jewelry and stuff and go right for what i want then get the he11 out.

Id also check ebay, youd get alot more off ebay than you would a pawn shop. If you see something that you think is yours on ebay and look up their location, which says right below time left, highest bid, etc.

integrity640, and pawn shops get visited by teh cops almost every day now looking for stolen items, so that would be the last place i would go
