10 degress C... sunny and no clouds in the sky... Time to brake in the new stuff. I took my new skate and board to the Deas Slough with my Zodiac... the water was freezing and I only had a full wetsuit but I didn't care I just wanted to ride... since this past summer Ive been workin on shuvs and other shuv combos.. I get out on my new wakeboard and its sick (subjekt and alphas) ok back to skating... I got on my new LF 43 (an old cassette) and I totally love it... you totally notice a difference between it and a flat deck... I get out and start doing some basic slides and oille 180s then start to try new stuff like ollies into and out of slides... after my first pass I try and shuv and wat do ya know I stick it! (very very VERY sketchy tho) I have been working on shuvs for one whole season and I finally land one on my new board... things you should stick by... pratice makes perfect and try try again... I almost stuck a fs lipslide fs shuv out but I missed the board... this was the first time I tryed sliding backwards (bs lipslide, fs boardslide) but really there easy... I laned my first bs lip fs 270 out which was cool and I landed a switch 270 on to a fs boardslide.
the whole point out this topic is that, if somethings are so hard that you get mad that u cant land it... just try try again and try not to get frustraded (sp?) and also buy snap it really does help your riding!!! it helped mine |

its cool that you landed a bunch of new stuff and your stoked on it but stuff like that doesnt always need a topic. But i must admit that a pretty good day. Landing new stuff always kicks ass, unless the board hits you in the ass but i guess in that case you never really landed it. anyways congrats and such _________________ oh great now i have ink all over the screen |

| I'm glad you enjoyed yourself so much. It's good to see people starting to ride again. Good luck and I agree with you 100%, it's not worth getting frustrated over tricks, but to have fun instead; the rest will happen in time. |

Haha, reminds me of my brother. He seems to think that the way of good skate boarding is beating your board on the concrete as hard as you can repeatedly.
But anyway good job on your new trick, maybe soon you can nail a few 360 shuvits. You know a trick I'd like to see? A shuvit to cross foot or a cross footed shuvit. That would be gnarly. _________________ Llamas are better then Alpacas

Nice Parky, keep up the good work! I think it is sick that you are out trying new tricks in water that cold. You are either messed up in the head or that stoked to have the chance to ride. It is probably a little bit of both.
Catalyst,
New tricks always deserve to be posted about. I encourage all of you to make a post when you land a new trick. It is contagious. |

You need proof that he went out in freezing water and landed his first shuvit? Geez...tough crowd.
Be happy for the guy....he finally achieved a goal he has been working towards. It isn't like he is claiming he landed a wake to wake McTwist....... |

| kyle lay off dude... i respect you parky for going out in 10 degrees. thats a little over the top. since you chose wakeskating over never being able to have children you should get pretty good. yeah bs lips to frontside 270 out are fun and easy, and they look cool. yeah its like thirty degrees here in new york, but our lake is frozen. and i have snowboarding to keep me occupied for the mean time.soon though..soon |
