Well, went to a gear swap thing at my local wakeboard shop today, and came back with the new Armada. I was planning on going with an Oak, but I was able to trade in a really old wakeboard with some boots that didnt even fit me anymore, and $50 for the new Armada. Im good friends with them, so it was pretty much a steal. It looks great, and weighs roughly 9-10 lbs(not sure exactly). Really feels like a solid skate, now I just need to test it out.

| Ya, I really dont think ill be going W2W that much, but oh well. Its my first skate that ive bought, and for $50, I couldnt beat it. Thats a $150 difference, and I really dont think any board could justify me not getting that Armada. It is really a lot nicer than last seasons Armada, and I think its going to be fine for spin and flip tricks in the flats. I dont see why it wouldnt be. |

^^ finally someone who doesn't care that I dont have a skate in my hands. Before yesterday no one said anything about me not having a skate and that im dumb, and now you all find out and all of a sudden everything I say is wrong. I know what im talking about just because I haven't gotten on a skate and ridden it. I know what a 5 stage is or a 3 stage, I know the difference from a concave and a flat, and I know alot of the mainstream companys that are amazing at making skates. And for everyones knowledge, I do have a skate now, a devotid 07 movement, yes I ordered it today, so now are you gonna shut up? _________________ 2 Hands Working Do More Than 1000 Hands Praying |

| Halogen, did you check out any of the new impulses? I'm either looking at buying a sattelyte or an impulse. I like the LF variable edges, I even sanded my 05 Team Integ to a variable edge, it works awsome. Releases when I want and holds when I want, the way I want. |

| The Armadas were the only skates in. They came in a few weeks ago, and they werent expecting them. I guess LF was running ahead of schedule on the Armadas. I didnt know it had a variable edge. I havent really researched it much or anything, I just know that it looks sweet(pretty cool graphics and composite always looks nice), and that its really heavy. It felt heavier than last years Armada for sure. I weighed it by weighing myself and then weighing myself while holding it, and it weighs roughly 9.5 I think. Dont hold me to it, as I dunno how accurate my method was, but its definately over 8, which is what most of the new skates are. I dont really see how it could be bad for tricks in the flats and what not, unless provin1327 just thinks a 43 is too big or something. |

| Im not sure if the Armada has the variable edge, just the LF wood skates. 43 should be fine, its personal preference. |

why does everyone got to take things so seriously, all im sayin is how can someone know anything about a skate if they've never ridden it? don't take things so personally. dam _________________ .............for no particular rhyme or reason............. |

hyfliteskate, im not bitchin at you specifically man. ppl just have been doin that to him and i dont care if someone has or hasnt skated, treat them with respect until you know them and then you can judge them. im happy he just got a new skate and i support anyone that is involved in the sport, weather your throwing double up fs 3's or just learning how to get up, we all gotta start somewhere and for him its here. _________________ Helium - Devotid Wakeskates - Anarchy Eyewear |

SkateForce, preach brotha, there is too much flamin and drama, that's why I don't post much on this site. We are all here because of wakeskating, and I think alot more people would have accounts if there wasn't so much BS on this site. I can see how it could intimidate new people, and really, it probably does not portray the sport very well. I'll probably get flamed fo my comments, but F it, it gets old. |

i know what your talkin about man, but it just gets a little annoying and can be misleading to some people when someone who has never skated is giving so much advice. im proud of the guy for gettin a new skate. its great when new people join the sport and help it grow. _________________ .............for no particular rhyme or reason............. |

hyfliteskate, my roommate knows more about football than anyone i know and he has never played a season in his life.. so does that make all of his knowledge incorrect?
just because he has never ridden before doesn't mean he is ignorant. give em a break. |
